Legends of Ghadar
Legends of Ghadar is a six-part historical documentary series created for Confluence History, exploring the people, events, and untold stories of the Ghadar Movement. With limited archival material available, the project developed an original production methodology that combined historical research, illustration, cinematic design, and AI-assisted animation to recreate moments that were never photographed.

CHALLENGE
Recreating forgotten chapters of history with little visual reference, while building a production workflow that could deliver cinematic quality consistently across an entire documentary series.
THE SOLUTION
Rather than relying solely on archival footage, the production was built around a custom visual pipeline that transformed research into cinematic storytelling. Every sequence moved through historical research, script analysis, visual development, illustration, AI-assisted animation, and final edit, ensuring historical consistency while allowing creative freedom. Alongside my team, we developed the Ghadar Noir visual language—combining realistic characters, dramatic lighting, vintage textures, and restrained colour palettes to create a distinctive identity for the series. The result wasn't simply a new way of illustrating history. It was a scalable production system for bringing forgotten stories back to life.
